That came out of left field. Have to say I like Tarmac (as he was known at Liverpool - the black Steve Heighway), but thought his managerial chances were dead after the Celtic debacle.
Brilliant news. We can only PRAY that John will rap his verse in "World in Motion" to the Tranmere players as a team talk every week. I know I'd be motivated by it. In fact, I'd be so pumped up I'd rape the opposition goalkeeper.

Highly respected in the game, a forward thinker with dynamic coaching techniques, he could be a big hit at Tranmere.
southampton and stockport on -10 and now this! just one relegation place left for the rest of us!
He's managed Jamaica for a while recently. No idea how he did.Likewise. Has he had any other coaching type jobs since then?

I would love to hear his team take:
You've got to hold and give
But do it at the right time
You can be slow or fast
But you must get to the line
They'll always hit you and hurt you
Defend and attack
Theres only one way to beat them
Get round the back
Catch me if you can
Cos I'm the england man
And what youre looking at
Is the master plan
We aint no hooligans
This aint a football song
Three lions on my chest
I know we cant go wrong
