Jerusalem @ Last Night of the Proms

And did those feet in ancient time

walk upon England’s mountains green?

And was the holy Lamb of God

on England’s pleasant pastures seen?

And did the countenance divine

shine forth upon our clouded hills?

And was Jerusalem builded here

among these dark Satanic Mills?


Bring me my bow of burning gold!

Only this summer, reading liner notes, did I discover that Parry's piece was originally used by the suffragettes.

Unfortunately I have never been to Last Night of the Proms but the Albert Hall is a terrific venue and shivers went down my spine singing "Land of Hope and Glory".
Altogether now:

Fantastic Spicy, sends a tingle down my spine. Should be THE national anthem!
