But it could mean that Neil Shipperley could be on his way down to us if you believe another thread.

Wasn't that as part of a swap deal for Leon? Can't see they'd want Jerome and Knight, or would they?

Dunno, but he's definitely off.

A part exchange with Cardiff for Jerome was mentioned but that is obviously out the window....

Whatever!

Don't try and pretend you know differently TLB. The fact of the matter is you are going to use 500k of that money plus offer Jason Koumas in an attempt to lure Leon Knight away from his beloved.

Sheff Utd have had a £1.5m bid for Cameron Jerome accepted by Cardiff. Personal terms to be agreed.

From this morning's Western Mail:

Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock last night told Cardiff City they had wasted a golden chance to cash in on striker Cameron Jerome. Warnock says he will not offer more than the £2m already tabled - and warned no club in Britain would put in a bigger bid.

Warnock made his claims after Bluebirds owner Hammam snubbed the Sheffield United move for the 14-goal Ninian hot shot, putting a £3.5m price tag on Jerome's head.

Warnock reckons the Ninian Park supremo is asking too much for a player who only made his senior bow 15 months ago.

"We were led to believe that it was a good offer, but Hammam's rejected it and said Jerome is worth more," said Warnock.

"They won't get more than we have offered. I don't think any Premiership club will be coming in with the sort of offer they want.

"I can only assume that Cameron will be playing at Cardiff City for many years to come."

Another great NSC exclusive. Nice one, Bathseagull.
