Top Derby player, solid Championship CB, but Derby reckon he's worth at the very least, £2m and not really a player they are looking to off-load. Be interesting if Greer stays and we do sign Shackell.

During pre Derby(still on player) press, I asked Gus about how he might deal with with Shackell, as my research suggested he was the tallest ,or one of the tallest centre halves in the football league.

Gus was a little defensive (no pun) to my suggestion, Vokes might get a start.

Vokes did start , so I am pretty sure Gus was and is now very much aware of Jason Shackell.

Sounds like a very good defender that fits Gus' style, and would give us some much needed height. If Greer, Dunk and Hall all stay then I can't see we'd spend that kind of money on another centre back though
