Jan 28th, a non-football day?

Apparently, Albion have not played on Jan 28th since 1967 when a crowd of over 12,000 was at Aldershot for an FA cup goaless draw. Albion won the replay and set up a plum draw with Chelsea.

Further back, in 1961, another FA Cup game saw us draw 3-3 at home with League champions Burnley in what is said to have been one of the best matches ever.

Both these games were before my time so can some even older peeps wallow in nostalga?

The game at Aldershot was played on a heavy pitch with puddles of water preventing Kit Napier from running with the ball. My main memory of the Burnley(2nd best team in england at the time) game was the whole crowd going mad when the Albion went 3-2 up.
