Just got back from the event and what you saw on TV was only the half of what Jb did. I was dreading his performance in the belief he is past it.
However on the day his performance was storming and the only thing really worth it.
Why they had too team him up with the no hope Karaoke singer is beyond me.
Rod Stewart (and Ronny Wood) were very disappointing, as was Ozzy, I wanted paranoid and all I got was that simpering nonsense with miss piggy. (No that's not true Miss Piggy came on later, thankfully for anyone watching on TV you were spared Ms Feltz, she's lousy on TV she is even worse live!)
The Opera at the end was good (again the TV audience missed that bit too) although the TV theme for the Olympics is sleep inducing.
As too Ms Bunton and Ms Stevens if miming half dressed prancers are your thing then you got what you wanted.
The other waste of space was that Mcfly lot, weedy sudo rock pop crap.
JB proved why he has been around for 4 or five decades, he is an entertainer surrounded by some of the best musicians, singers and dancers around and is absolutely cracking live.
