I would like Blears to get the boot. She came across as an incredibly smarmy little bitch waving that cheque for £13k about. "Oh I can afford it." "Shame I got caught" etc when there are millions of people unemployed and in danger of losing their homes.

But she did let us have our stadium.

Agree BoF - Blears is my most disliked politician (and that's saying something). I have never, ever, ever heard her answer a question. My assumption is that the only reason GB didn't give her the push immediately, was because, with what has subsequently come out, he would have had to let most of his cabinet go. Still, reshuffle on Mon, she'll be gone then.

As for Ms smith, I think Home Sec. is a thankless position - you're never going to get anything "right" are you. Not sure if she's been good, bad or indifferent really.

Not Luton! Thank God
can we (NSC, or the wider public) force a general election?

how many letters to jim'll fixit are required?

or to the PM.. or the Queen?

Nope. Only way would be to convince enough labour politicians to back a opposition motion of noconfidence in the Government. If a Government loses that then they pretty much have to call a general election or risk having no power to do anything in the House of Commons.

Well, she certainly answered one question.

84. Accordingly, for the reasons given above, the Secretary of State agrees with the conclusions of the second Inspector. She hereby grants planning permission for:
a. a community stadium

I think Brown would have loved to sack her, I think he fears what she'd start saying outside the camp...

Well, to be pedantic - she rubber-stamped something that had already been decided long before she took that post. I doubt she'd even heard the word "Falmer"
