Whilst at Hollingbury Golf Course yesterday, I saw a great photo opportunity.
Steps all in place on east stand.
The "Crawler Crane" is being put together in front of the east stand.
This will be used to raise the arch and will take about 6 weeks.
Demolition of Uni buildings in full swing. Photo is of Uckfield House.
Don't forget JSFW 43B too.

It is a great view from that green. Before they even started I used to look over from there and laugh when our opponents were describing it as an area of natural beauty. have also managed to lose my ball at the back of that green on a couple of occasions!

When do the plastic forks get ordered ? I hope they are the ones that are spoon shaped as well......... I like them.

And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?
And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among those dark Satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold:
Bring me my arrows of desire:
Bring me my spear: O clouds, unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!
I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.

Isn't the arrival of the crane a little premature seeing as they haven't even made the arch yet? Unless of course it dowsn't take long to put together???

Great pics, yet again JS.

Sorry, slight confusion, and relating to CS's post just above - the 6 week process you mention, is that the putting together the Crawler Crane, or the actual raising of the arch?

I was wondering exactly the same!

I got the impression from John on the gate that the crane would be in action for 6 weeks, so this probably means the time it takes to put the arch in place, perhaps hoisting little by little, like they did with the Wembley arch?
Hopefully, Natterjack will put us right if this is wrong?

Ignore me. Just had a look at Weldex.co.uk and seen that only half of it is here yet!

It probably looks like this when it's all been assembled.
