How are you getting such good shots, Jack? You carting a stepladder up there once a week to get a view over the hoarding or what? However it's done, bloody good work sir.

Fantastic - and I assume that the large flat area now at the bottom of the excavations will be roughly pitch level.

Question - seeing as how the pitch will effectively be in a big hole - will there be drainage issues?

Just to add a bit of perspective to the hole, here is the cross section of the south stand. You can see where the slope is in the plans, going back to the concourse which is where the lorry is. Jack is taking the picture in the hosptality of the west stand at the moment (roughly ???)

Oh typical. The ground's not even built yet and someone's moaning about the drainage! (A joke btw in light of your other thread!)

In all seriousness I guess it helps that it's being built on chalk. That should help trememdously.

Have they spread the chalk that has been dug out on the upper field then, if so it was a lot of fuss about nothing by the look of it.
