There are a few people out there who actually enjoy the taste, and there are a few who eat it once just to see if they can handle it.

I love a vindaloo but i doesn't make me hard.

You build up a tolerance over time. I used to think Madras was really spicy but you have a few and you get used to it and it gets milder, now a vindaloo is normal. I still enjoy less spicy food and it hasn't killed my tastebuds.
