I used to leave at 4 for Withdean games. I shan't be leaving it quite so late today.

Park next to Lewes football club, 25p per half hour beofre 6 o clock nil after and get the train - if the station is manned just use the station car park entrance and you will not need a ticket or a voucher

Just come off at the Hollingbury turn off and you're in Coldean Lane. Head down the hill and then abandon your car at the bottom. It will probably still be there when you return.

If it's much after 6.00, there'll be little, if any, parking at the bottom. Better to turn right in Hawkhurst Road or Forest Road and park somewhere in the middle of the estate.

It's a dead quiet estate, the car will be perfectly safe.

Definitely worth missing off the M4/M25 junction, though I'm sure you're aware of that. Did a lot of journeys from north london to bristol last year and that junction is somewhere you don't want to be if you've got somewhere to go, particularly after 4pm.
