Absolutely. I can't believe there's any debate as to how to pronounce 'Amex' unless it's either ignorance of how the word was coined or if you do indeed pronounce 'American' as 'Ay-merican'.

Didnt it have to include "Community Stadium" as part of the planning application when we found a sponser?

So it could have been for example Legal & General Community Stadium, or Ebay Community Stadium or Uncle Tom Cobbley Knockeruppers Community Stadium...

Can't believe people really thought it was pronounced Ay-mex how can you shorten the word American and then get "Ay"? Unless you are of course American yourselves?

Surely it depends on the situation. If it's the beeb, then they're likely to use it's full name or something close, if it's us, the fans talking, we'd currently say Falmer (but that may fade out in time), or Amex. Personally I prefer AmStad for fan-speak.
