Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
Reading their messageboard this afternoon there is a large majority of people bemoaning their negative football at home and the fact Freedman seems to want to concentrate on keeping it tight in defense and then rely on Zaha to create something. They haven't scored more than 1 goal in a league game since October apparently. A lot of them questioning whether or not they'll renew their season tickets if it carries on like that.

Do you think managers are too scared to risk losing and in turn, less likely to win handsomely or at least go down with the fans on their feet? I don't really recall the shelf life of a manager in the early 90s.

The Wilkins era springs to mind. There were a handful of great games, but we were unimaginative, disciplined and thorough (at times).

Being completely serious, what the hell has happened to Palace? When we went there a few years ago there were 25,000 watching. They have a fairly decent, young, up and coming Manager, a young team with good potential and some decent players (and one great player, despite what people on here say), and seem to be on a relatively sound financial footing at last. Where have all the fans gone? Yes Selhurst is a shithole (I want to go home) but so are loads of grounds. They never used to have to resort to giving free tickets away to get people in.

Why are they struggling so badly? For anyone other than Albion fans, it's a bit of a shame.

A lot of their fans are moaning about the negative football.
