Ok so he has had a couple of good games in the Euro championship. But Virgs was solid over a much longer period.
Why all this front page coverage when Virgs only made the Argas.
Should be put into perspective Rooney has done ok but Virgs has still got to be young player of the year.??? ???

Think Virg's is much better for England..... given the chance.

(I guess we will never know)

Give him time....he'll make it.

It's only when England come up against a penalty shoot-out (and we will) that the nation will start crying out for an Adam Virgo! :D

true but he is a good attacking option down the left, faster than henry over 100 metres did u know, but saying that no one on the left supports him, so wayne bridge would be a better option against an attacking side.

Virgo has scored two goals (Stockport and Swindon) Perhaps he can only score against teams starting with S?

:lolol:

Rooney is younger than Virgo

Never been a fan, especially since he always seems to be taken out by a sniper in the crowd at some point during every game. . .

But, since the first ten minutes against France when Pires skinned him, reckon he's been one of England's best players. Looking a lot more mature and sensible in defence.

Still find it odd to think back to when I was working in Croydon not too many years back and Palace nearly converted his loan into a full transfer - till the Scum changed their mind at the last minute, and within a few months he was a Premiership regular and England international.

It's a funny old game (Saint). . .
