I must admit to have always been a bit distrusting of tee totallers on the basis that its one of lifes great joys getting blotto and talking bollocks. I might add that i extend this suspicion to blokes who don't like football.

Having said this i do have a close friend who has never touched a drop and lives on diet coke. What makes it all the more surprising is that he's a Merlin chopper pilot in the RAF. I've met some of his RAF buddies and they like a piss up as much as the next man and how he's not succumbed i'll never know. Bottom line is that he just hates the taste ( and yes we've tried Alco pops) and he's a totally rounded guy who liked pubbing and clubbing as much as the test of us in our younger days.

I'm not teetotal but when I go on trips abroad I always have these uncontrollable urges to buy bottles of the local firewater which I never drink when I get home. The result? A cupboard full of stuff which I aint gonna touch.

Even when I buy a case of beer at the supermarket it lasts for months...

I am 42 and have never had a pint or any spirits, tried wine once (when I was 38). Don't drink tea and have never tasted coffee ever as can't stand the smell.

I do however, have the largest pornography collection in the North of England, before anyone calls me a goody two shoes.
