Fair play to the journo for running with what was never going to be a popular piece but, nevertheless, needed saying.

I was bemused rather than outraged by the banner, which has probably been discussed in more detail than it deserves.

That report sums everything up beautifully. I think it's very clear that most Ipswich fans want to distance themselves from the actions of a handful of people who don't know their history, or grammar, and I'm happy to leave it at that.

How utterly mortifying for those responsible. I almost feel embarrassed for them. Utterly cringeworthy.

On this basis, I hope none of our fans attempt a banner in retaliation to Ipswich when we next play them.

I've met the bloke who wrote that, he's a good guy who knows his stuff and has written supportive articles about us before, and absolutely the right man for the job of putting the strange people who made that banner in their place. Good work mate.
