I suppose they must do, Im sure the senders would have given up by now if they had recieved no joy from them. They work by way of a loophole in banking law I think - not sure of the details though.

Somebody once posted on here a link to a most excellent site where there was a new sport of scamming the scammers, stringing them along for months on end, generally winding them up and in some cases actually getting some money out of them. Twas a marvellous read indeed.

I am in keen need of a “Reliable and Trustworthy” person like you who would receive, secure and protect these boxes containing the US Dollars for me up on till my assignment elapses in here in Iraq. I assure and promise to give you 20% of this fund, however feel free to negotiate what you wish to have as your percentage in this business.

I think Captain James had a relative who was some high Government official in Nigeria. According to his wife who e mailed me some time ago, he was killed by rebels but before he croaked he was able to e mail his wife with the Swiss Bank code for a safety deposit box containing thirteen dollars and twenty seven cents. She was unable to travel out of Nigeria, and asked me if I would forward a whole bunch of infirmation to her, and she would send me the code, and I could go to Swizerland and collect. But I coulldn't get the time off. Have been kicking myself ever since.

Tho it should be pointed out that scambaiting should not be attempted by obvious morons (you know who you are, or if you don't maybe one of your brighter mates might let you know) because in the end these people are criminals and may just end up doing you serious harm innit
