Fab just gave an update on Lamptey, on the BBC website via Simon Stone: "Tariq has a bigger issue. He had a bad moment in training and I can't say exactly how long he will be out."

On BBC radio, he said that Solly had a slight hamstring issue but should be back after the international break.
That sounds ominous. Will we see him again this season and if we don't, have we seen his last game for us? For all the good things this season, the number of injuries incurred in training has been a distinct negative and needs a thorough review.

I hope not as he’s had a great season and provided valuable options at RB an LB. Is his contract up this summer? I’d be disappointed if we didn’t have an offer on the table.
I’m a fan but I just think that he is injured too much.

I’ll be very sad to see him go as a person and as a player, but as a player, he just can’t get on the pitch enough (due to fitness) to earn a Premier League salary on a long term contract in my opinion.

A new contract, if offered, would be at risk of making him our highest paid player (£s per minute on the pitch) due to his injury record.

I suspect we’ll be seeing a new right back at the club in the summer.
