Builders injured on Amex building site in Brighton From The Argus)
Two workers on a construction site have been injured by falling debris.
A steel pole fell around two floors onto the workers at the new American Express building in Edward Street, Brighton at around 5.45pm this evening, cracking their helmets on impact.
The two men are believed to have been knocked unconscious in the incident and one suffered a suspected broken arm.
They have been taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton.
Firefighters from Preston Circus had to rescue the men who had been working below ground level when they were hit.
