!! Stanmer House quite costly (although I think you get what you pay for and bite the bullet) and limited to 11pm or £500 per hour for extension.

Queens Hotel. I had my wedding reception there, the ceremony was at the Pavilion. Queens is good for all the non-Brighton folk as they can wonder about the Pier etc as well, you can't get more central than that

For a summer-time do downstairs at Alfrescos restaurant is quite a good room/ space for a party - right on the beach etc etc.

Not sure if it holds 250 though?
