Read his comments on the Portsmouth official site, it's even more silly, he basically he says we were the better team in the first half and half the second half, but apart from that they dominated and deserved to win.

he was DEFINITELY watching a different game then - they put us under MASSIVE pressure first half and we defended well , snuck a goal just before half time , then we found our stride more second half whilst still having to keep it strong at the back

he's got it MASSIVELY arse over face.

Nail on head. He is not saying that to wind us up. He is trying to placate the Pompey faithful. All managers do it

Trouble is he makes himself look ignorant and clueless, or at best a little desperate, in doing so.

This will simply lose him some respect and faith from both the board and fans.
