It was proper random. Have been helped big it up in our paper and we thought the town might JUST nick it.

As it was the old record of 1,800 was smashed by an almost Withdean filling 6,200.

We ever had 40 pirates from Holland come over.

Surely thats the record for people DRESSED as pirates.

I'd guess the most pirates in one place has probably been done in Somalia recently, or in the 17th century in the Caribbean somewhere. I don't believe any of those old people in Hastings have ever HIJACKED a boat

I know half a dozen stole a swan pedalo and dumped it in the sea last summer.
