It was a dodgy tape all along! After 3 different tape drives ( all giving different error messages) we eventually tried another tape set and it worked fine.

For anyone who does IBM stuff - BRMS is the biggest pile of poo invented!!!!

Still 15 hours overtime + £ 500 odd Nice cash for holiday
