Started drinking at 11 o/clcock yesterday.....then in the chinese restaurant...then at Twickenham...rthen at the Bear afterwards...got home at 10 ish....

Am drinking coffee by the bucketload.....

BTW Serious question.

Why is it that the authorities recon that Rugby fans can take alchohol and drink it into the ground but football fans can't? is it that football fans are in the majority Chavs who will just fight with eachother?

Also anyone tried raspberry Vodka? had a flask given to me with it full up of this stuff....mmmmmm lovelly

I think thats it, Rugby is a thugs sport played by gentlemen and football is a gentlemans sport played by thugs.

Don't drink coffee Dave, it's a diaretic. Water is the way forward my friend, coffee is going to make you feel BAD.

Chappers speaks sense. Lots of water and orange juice is what you need.

The authorities let rugby fans drink because there's never any trouble at game - why try to stop them?

The real question is what is it about football that leads so many people to want to start fights?

Cambridge something like 31-16 I think. Dont see why you can buy a pint under the stand at a football match but arent allowed to take it back to your seat. There has never been a hooligan element in rugby either. No segregation of fans, not even in derby matches.

With rugby, the fighting is usually left to the players. Bunch of neanderthal mongs.

cambridge won.

really good game...cambridge number 10 ran the game...their forwards were very powerful

I am starting to come around to the dark side in that Yesterdays game was perhaps more exciting than any Albion game I have been to this year apart from palace.....I am living in shame:down:

I love both games. I go and watch Brighton play down at Waterhall if I cant make the Brighton away game. Good rugby, cheap beer.

apologies for Hijacking thread.

Get some tomato juice down you. Rich in vitamins and should make you feel much better.

But at least they have proper fights not spend the whole game getting more and more wound up and then giving someone a sly little kick or slap when they arent looking! Then they buy each other a beer afterwards and forget about it!

Not to the extent we've seen in football, but "the hooligan element" is creeping into rugby league. Hull are always rumbling with other fans and if they don't put up, they rumble with themselves. I've noticed at Headingley the more popular the sport is becomming the more, uh, not so savoury characters are tagging along.

There have been several pre arranged crew meet ups at league games.

edit - sorry about hte hangover Dave, as was said above, water is the way forward. And try to eat something.

Rugby is every bit as exciting as football, sometimes more so imo

The above statement refers to Union not League btw :)

Also struggling after yesterday - the bacon sarnie machine is about to take a beating...

Dave - did you see the workers in the South stand site? One of them tried to launch the ball at the posts to return it to the game... cue airshot, comedy slip and much pointing and laughing....
