Just happened upon this six-year-old assessment of certain players in the then Bristol Rovers squad. Where are they now?
BRISTOL ROVERS
Michel Kuipers: - Has failed to be a hit since signing from Dutch club SWD Amsterdam.
Steve Foster: - A fans favourite and a regular in the side in the centre of the defence. Signed from Woking two seasons ago.
Robbie Pethick: - Another full back brought from Portsmouth and has been a regular ever since.
Jamie Cureton: - Goals galore expected from this lad. A real gem for any manager!
Nathan Ellington: - Moved here from non-league Walton & Hersham two seasons ago. So much to offer, but yet to be seen.
Jason Roberts: - Couldn’t make it into Wolves first team but since moving to Rovers has scored many a goal.
Bobby Zamora: - Four appearances and no goals, the youngster finds himself playing reserve team football.
Surely an object lesson here from, er, League Two club Bristol Rovers in how not to manage your young players... Wonder how our current crop will be looking in five years time?
