FFS, who am I thinking of??

I know there was five from that team, but the fifth one escapes me.

Which of them likes argyle sweaters and a nice comfy 18 holes with Tarby? I might have to dig out my childhood book and wade through the Dale Jaspers and Danny  Wilsons to see who it was now

PS it's "women, know your LIMITS"
:lolol:

My nephew met Bobby Charlton.

The lad was about four years old at the time and out with his grandmother (my mother), walking the dog and kicking a football along the riverside in Wilmslow.

A hefty hoof saw the ball fly over a hedge into the back garden of a nearby house. Out popped the owner to return it - with an offer to sign the ball as well.

It was none other than the great Sir Bobby.

My nephew wasn't impressed at all. But my mum thought he was wonderful.

None of the England lot, I stood in the same room as West Germany's Uwe Seeler while enjoying lavish corporate hospitality at a Hamburg SV game, and watched him being interviewed. It was bordering on the impossible to imagine that tiny, fat little old bloke ever playing in the world cup final. Bloke's a legend.

Geoff Hurst pulled me a pint in his Staffordshire pub.

Bobby CHarlton I was introduced to - his reputation is being a bit of a miserable old sod - so good to hear a positive anecdote from Lord B.
