My life long ambition is to visit every country in the World. We met Mark Carwardine (who did last chance to see with Steven Fry) in Mexico when we went Whale watching and he only has 16 left to visit (Poland was one of them, all the rest pretty obscure places!)

I'm not sure it's possible to 'do' every country because the map is always changing. I've been to several countries that no longer exist (the Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, East Germany, etc), and several that exist now that didn't when I was there (Ukraine, Moldova, East Timor, etc).

My target has always been 100, which I'll do easily if I get through my allotted years in reasonable health. Perhaps with hindsight 150 would have been a more challenging target. But without a lottery win I'm never going to make them all (210+ or so at the current count).
