How did you feel about Arsenal and the 11 foreigners v Spanish Brighton.

It wasn't so long ago (which probably means about 5 years) when Arsenal fielded an team full of foreigners.

I must admit I didn't think it was right, and it didn't sit comfortably with me.

Roll forward x amount of years and I now support:-

Spanish Calde
Spanish Rod
Spanish Andy
Spanish Bruno
Spanish Dave
and now
Spanish Len

Throw a Pole, a tenuous Congolese, and a really really tenuous Egyptian into the mix. (not to mention the obvious player I've forgotten)

We are very much heading in the same direction, the only difference is I bloody well love it, and am so excited, by The Albion.

I'm sure when our academy is complete we'll have some more home-grown talent coming in.

I actually thought about this this morning, althoughI wasn't as outraged as some by Arsenal fielding a team of foreigners as I enjoyed watching that team play.

As for us, I don't care what nationality they are as long as they shown passion. For example Calde is far more passionate and motivated than 90% of the journeymen British players we had under MA mark 2
