Homosexuality is a preference gained by a series of complex and interwoven personal life experiences. Just as, say, whether you support the Albion or like eating broccoli. We are all subject to roughly the same experiences in our society, from these we make choices about what we do and don't like. What we do about them is another matter entirely.


I suspect that whatever makes people want to be doctors, salesmen, firemen, spacemen, however they've been brought up, is similar to being straight or gay. There is no gene; I doubt that in 99% of people it's down to life experiences; it just is.
