Holiday over Xmas

Planning on going on a 7 day holiday over Xmas this year.
Has anyone been abroad over Xmas and if so, where would you recommend?

I'm thinking NY or Switzerland for some powder as a couple of possibilities...

Wouldn't recommend it - at home to Millwall on Boxing Day will be a great atmosphere and if you go Saturday to Saturday you will miss Blackburn away and Watford at home as well!!

On a more serious note I once spent Christmas in Tenerife and although it was nice being in the sun it didn't seem right (to my traditional mind) seeing Santa dressed in fur lined long sleeves and long trousers while we were sunbathing. Suggest Iceland which is very friendly and interesting - but expensive.

Went to the Maldives for the new Millennium.

If you like chilling out, sun, swimming, diving or snorkelling, excellent resorts, then give it a thought.

Going to Zell Am See over xmas. First time skiing. Austria is brilliant. Been twice before over the summer for walking.
