Help with dvd bl**dy player

A bit off topic...but I bought a DVD player today and can get
a picture but no sound.


Can anyone help us work out why we're getting no
sound please? We've got a 1998 tv model and the usual
SCART cable between tv and DVD player.

It;s really p****ng us off.

it should be easy! is the scart cable secure? u got it on the correct av channel?

are there multiple scart sockets to put it into at the back? If so, youve probably put it in the wrong one

Press the "0" button on the TV then you should connect OK.

We tried all three of the ones suggested and it
suddenly sprang into life.

I'm not trying to be diplomatic honestly, but
that's what happened.

The three at the start of the thread that is...

.....check connections,
av channel an '0' on the controller.

you all helped. I should be paying for that sort
of service
