Head and shoulders above anyone else in the making of virtually every one of their products. Yet with mayonnaise they are behind Hellmans by a country mile. How can this be????

Hellmans, as the name implies, is made by the devil, and the devil gets all the best eggs. He has yet to move into other convenience foods.

Hope Hellman's lawyers aren't snooping Frank ...

Beans and ketchup yes, but for mayo, mustard and so on I'd look elsewhere.

I only use Heinz for beans and ketchup.

Brown Sauce - Daddies
Mayo - Hellmans
English mustard - Colemans
French dark and wholegrain mustard - Saino's.

The soup marketplace is getting a bit crowded. That Covent Garden one, Baxters, loads of fresh ones in plastic pots - Heinz is under the hammer.

Gabriel Heinz is a totally inferior leftback to Mayo.

(oh come on, you knew it was inevitable on this thread)

A while ago I would have agreed with you.. However I have deviated from the Heinz monopoly of the market for the following products.

Broon Sauce - HP (its the daddy).
Beanz - Branston....so much better.

However...I can find no suitable alternative for Tommy sauce, mayo, or Salad Cream.

Seriously though....give the branston beanz a whirl...they're lush. The spaghetti hoops are minging though...too vinegary !!!
