If we can take the 'saving by medical means', theres that by proxy for me. Employer makes software used across the board in the medical sector, including the firmware for radiotherapy machines. Those have saved or prolonged countless lives. But I didn't write that, I work on legacy GP stuff

Yes. Bloke on drugs and alcohol went swimming, lowered his core temp, and collapsed, banged his head, swallowed his tongue. Got him breathing again, then got him to the hospital which charged him a bloody fortune (this was in a the British Virgin Islands). He tried to commit suicide a few times, but I am reliably informed it was NOT because I gave him mouth-to-mouth!
