At England v Greece in 2001. Went out the night before and only just had time for a shower before I had to catch the train for manchester. Carried on drinking on the train and managed to fall asleep for most of the first half. I also missed Beckhams equiliser by leaving early.

Without the excuse of alcohol consumption i would suggest the nearest i have come was Jurgen Somner's only appearance away to Cambridge United (1991?)

Quite the worst Albion game i have ever seen with my only recollection being that just before the end Clive Walker hit an easy chance wide that would have ended our misery.
