I went past it the other day, looked through the window and saw Doreen.

How she is still alive, I'll never know. She must be at least 130 years old now.

I worked on the deli in Baker street Co-op years ago
the meat slicer was around the corner so no one could see you, used to eat so much ,smoked turkey breast and cheese ,never needed to buy lunch!

Doreen,what a legend,or maybe not.

She used to forget what she was saying half-way through her loud speaker announcements and gave me a wrong leaving date meaning I had to do an extra weeks notice.

I worked on the Deli at Sainsbury's in Lewes Road when it firt opened. I was a hard-uo student at the time, so always ensured I "dropped" something nice so that I could take it out the back & have a nibble!
