Has anybody been skiing in Montgenevre?

Hi all,

just need some ski pass advice, off away at the start of feb, the conditions are looking great at the moment.

i was hoping someone on here may have been to this resort and could help me out with some Ski Pass advice.

any info at all would be great.

Yes went there last year it is very good recommend just a ski pass for montgenevre and clavire as plenty to do (175+ km of runs)you don't need one for the whole Milky Way area.If need anything else just ask

Montgenevre is excellent! Definately get the full "milky way" pass that covers the Italian resorts; Sestriere, Claviere etc. You can ski the olympic downhill run in Sestriere!!

it seems like quite a tough choice, 194euros for the local area or 231 for the milky way, if you upgrade your pass just once for a day trip that will cost 45 euros so it would seem cheaper to get the wider pass, however if theres more than enough ski in Montgenevre then theres no point.

Ive just got back from Sestriere - conditions were good at the beginning of last week but it hasn't snowed since the Friday before last and is starting to cut up a bit. We skiied to Montgenevre for a day and it did have better snow. We got a pass for 180 euros for the whole milky way. I would go for the whole lot - Claviere has doesn't have a huge amount of runs. It is also VERY quiet in the week at the moment.
