If it is true that a few emails to the FA has got a referee "deselected" from a game has a precedent been set?

What if Premiership fans start doing this?

What if clubs start doing this?

What if all teams that are allocated a certain referee start complaining? A referee could be effectively hounded out of the game.

No the vote closes tonight - result due in late Wed/early Thursday...

I suspect it was more to do with pressure from the club, and via them, the police, that did it.

I don't actually know if this has happened before though. It would be interesting to find out.
