If it was goal difference we would have gone down, for some reason that season (and maybe others) it was goals scored that was important
Everyone goes on about the goal difference, but the simple fact is that if the FA hadn't deducted us two points because our fans had the temerity to protest about what the owners were doing to the club, we could have afforded to lose at Hereford and both teams would have stayed up!

Hull, Wigan & fulham are the prem teams who were in the bottom division in 1997.

Wigan & Fulham were promoted but Hull struggled on for a few more years and then....they got a new ground!

Only four of those teams in that league are still there now, how times move on. The boys in the Premiership, Scarborough gone completely, a lot of those teams in the Championship too

What a day it was, though the official attendence to me is still way below what was actually there.

Football is about the fans, and that day showed what it should be like :clap:
