Thought I would post a little guide for you travelling fans.
Parking - Safest bet, if you have time, is to use the town centre car parks as these are covered by cctv and patrols. Should cost no more then about £3 for most of the afternoon. Allow about 10-15 minutes walk to the ground from here. There is a Sainsbury's car park nearer the ground on dunstable road, but dont wear colours if using this one as people on gate will turn you away (sometimes they aren’t there though). With regards to off street parking, your best bet is to head for dallow road and try and find a spot there, as lots of side roads and near to the ground. If parking anywhere though, do ensure that you have nothing showing in car to indicate that you are at the game (ie mini shirts), this is nothing to do with us luton fans taking offence (unless W@tford) but more to do with some locals realising that you will be away from car for a few hours and therefore may lighten the car of any interior (its actually not as bad as it sounds but just use common sense).
Drinking - The most popular pub for away fans is the Yeoman (dallow road). This is the closest pub to the ground and is used by both sets of fans and away supporters are always welcome. Can get very crowded though and getting served at the bar could take time. Next to the Sainsbury's car park is the nelson flagship, which is used by some away fans, but to be honest is a bit of a dive and away fans seem to use it less & less these days. when entering away fans use bar on the right. If parking in the town centre there is a better selection or pubs to use. some are right next to and in the galaxy centre (big leisure complex, cant miss it) plus a few others scattered about in the nr vicinity. Most town centre pubs have no real problem with away fans, but it does depend on who we are playing, so as long as your sensible, you shouldn't have any problems were ever you decide to drink.
Eating - in the town centre you have all the usual fast food outlets, Mcdonalds, etc. In the White House pub, owned by wetherspoons (inside the galaxy centre) you can get the usual pub grub, never tried it but looks okay from what I have seen. On the dunstable road you have loads of fast food outlets, owned by our asian friends, loads of choice, but most seem to have a fried chicken & chips theme! If drinking in the Yeoman, on dallow road, you pass a chip shop on the way to the ground, don’t know what its called but its the only one. This is a very good chippie but can get very busy in the 15 minutes leading up to kick off. If the food in the away end is anything like the food in the home end, I wouldn't bother !
anyway hope that can be of some help - feel free to ask if anyone wants anymore info. enjoy the day out but not the result
