They play egg chasing in Italy?

Yep, it's vaguely popular in the northern bit, only the other way round to here, rugby on Saturdays and roundball on Sundays.

To that end, took in Parma v Lazio today, to good an opportunity to miss to boooooo Paolo Di Canio and blow kisses at those hunky Ultras and wave my Livorno-Che Guevara scarf at them.

Great game to watch, despite the lack of TRIED AND TESTED ENGLISH LADS

I quite like the patient style of Italian footy, with Lazio dominating the game in this regard aganst lowly Parma's more dogged direct style. It's pretty tough being an Italian defender as you get booed by your own fans if you long-ball it out of defence, so that means you get loads of occasions when the defender gets the ball stolen off him in danger areas, with your own fans booing you even louder for that :lolol:

Pleased for Parma as they hung on for a 1-1 draw, which is a good point for them in relegation trouble. Their equalising goal was great too, the linesman flagging manically for a retreating Parma player offside, all the Lazio team stopping for a whistle but the ref allowing play to continue for 2 onside Parma players to walk the ball into the net :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: Di Canio and the Lazio players all surrounding the ref and half the team getting booked for shoving the officials - shame :lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

The ageing fascist did look good for 60 minutes before his legs gave out.

After the game, the hectic pace continued when all the Parma hardcore stayed behind for an hour to stage a demo to sack the president. The Parma ARS walks the walk!

Parma is certainly a place where it all kicks off - on Saturday there was a anti-globalisation demo protesting Coca-Cola's involvement in the Winter Olympics, which ended up with bits of the town railway station getting smashed up by anarchists.

Why? Its about time MAGOO picked a WINNING SIDE with people like OGH who bleed blue and white and in his favourite position as well.

Glad they are not against my company Atos Origin who are also Olympic partners.

Torino 2006 is just gearing up for us although the big ones will be Beijing 2008 and London 2012.

Glad someone can see that Italian football is still class. Although the tempo might be slower and games more defensive, the pace of some of the games in England is too hectic and its like watching pinball

Hey, glad your enjoying it. Thats where my family originates from. Its a great place. I went there in October. If your there tomorrow, they usually allow you to go round the stadium on your own without an escort. I ended up in the changing room and "borrowed" a players tracksuit.

Its a great city and the girls are absolutely gorgeous.

Did you let on that you are ever grateful to Coca-Cola as your team got given a free player by Coca-Cola? Might have been a bit of an ice-breaker with the locals....

Of course, one could use the converse argument that if there was no coca cola and other huge corporations like HSBC, BP, ICI etc etc, we would have no Pensions, Health Care,No insurance as countries rely on these big corporations to tax them and provide employment ( also getting income tax and national insurance from the employees)

But its much easier to play the Che Guevarra as its cool
