The very distinctive riff from Steely Dan's Ricky Don't Lose That Number was ripped off from something very obscure, but good. It featured on Bob Dylan's excellent Theme Time Radio Hour, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. Can anyone help?

That song Ricky don't lose that number always reminds me of Cliff Richard's song Carrie. Very sad, I know.
