We had our works Xmas do last night (early I know).

Anyway in my cracker I had this great bit of trivia;

What two teams in the English leagues never have to wear their away strips?

Preston cos they were the first Champions?

Close enough. According to the all knowing craker it is because they were the first ever team. (I thought it was Nott County so you may be right)

Reading because it is the queens county?

Yep! That's it!

Preston North End because they were the first established league club.

Reading because they are from the Royal county of Berkshire.

Not bad from a cracker I thought!

But it isn't true is it?

Yep it is true but think about it, the clubs obviously want to wear an away shirt for revenue reasons etc.

What about Norwich. Surely no ones home strip clashes with that horrible yellow.

So, am I right in saying that they DO wear their away kit, probably for marketing reasons etc, but they don't HAVE to wear it if they don't want to meaning they have the right to force the home team to wear a change strip.

Or they could play skins I supppose.
