I cut my grass at 35mm in the winter.

What's all this talk of mowers, bit early me thinks............this is the only time of the year my grass looks as good if not better than my neighbours!!!

I hate the first cut at the end of winter as I normally skim the top off a few uncollected parcels from the longer grass.........

I broke the ‘collecting bin’ part off the front of my lawnmower once, so all the cuttings were just flying up in the air and then being left strewn across the lawn.

A fair proportion of them ended up sticking to my legs, shoes and so on too.

Took ages to clean myself up afterwards. Days later, I was still finding blades of grass in my shorts.

Still, I’ve always like The Pretenders’ “Grass in Pocket”...
