I would suggest that the majority of fans that sing it are not aware there are real words and as that majority are not members of NSC they are not aware it sounds rubbish

I HATE the pre-game GOSBTS. It should be an INCREDIBLE moment, every home game, but it's constantly ruined by people singing out of time, making us look amateur.

My opinion; the music should be played up until the crowd sing 'all together now', at which point the music should cut out, leaving the entire crowd to sing at 100 times the speed it should be sung at, but it wouldn't matter as there's no music getting left behind.

So the answer to your question, err, both.
