Google Earth.

Just had a look on Google Earth,of a photo of where we live. The detail was amazing,however does anyone know from what height photo's are taken from ?

They are taken from light aircraft so, I guess, quite low.

I was so disapointed when I found that out, I thought it was all like "24" and taken from a spaceship

The Google cars were seen in London in September so expect to see Street Level photos online shortly once they've been cleaned up and sufficiently edited to block out naughty people visiting adult establishments etc

Google earth is an applications that build by Google. It is most effective on getting well result of viewing map of any place of the earth. It is an online application which work on satellite.

Wrong by about 10 miles. Google earth (not street view) are satellite pictures.

Trouble is the pictures are well out of date....the Amex use to show a muddy field,it might still do,I checked it just before our friendlies ...just showed an empty ploughed field.

....Phew. I was expecting a satellite to come whizzing down my road with some bloke with a camera on it.
