JT could *could* have been one of Englands greatest defenders. Instead he has been a captain of a woeful 2008 qualifying campaign and indiscretions like this (on and off the pitch) certainly do not help at all.

It is to United's and Tevez's credit that nothing more has been made of this. Can you imagine the furore if Romaldo or Tevez had done it to Terry or Lampard. It would have been held up as an example of what dirty cheating foreigners have brought to our game.
