Trying to write something that doesn't sound like Michael Winner is actually quite difficult.

Just avoid the phrases "my hugely successful Death Wish movies", "my lovely old friend Roger Moore/Gareth Hunt/Lionel Blair", "I'd never been so insulted by a so-called waiter in my life, a table away from the window indeed, thoroughly obnoxious" etc etc.
