Talk is that they will replace Zola with Hughes although IMO that would be crazy. Can you imagine the reaction of hammers fans to Hughes' brand of football?

The good news as already said is that it leaves Palace/Jordan one less option
:)

It is what I want for the Albion until the Bloom era, so I am sure it is good news for West Ham

As my Hammer mate put it, they are know split between broke Icelandic banks and pornographers. Literally, "between a rock and a hard place". You couldn't make it up.

Interesting. They have said that the club is a mess and they would not have taken it over had they not been fans. They have a seven year plan to get West Ham into the top 4 (and therefore Champions League) and also wish to move the club from Upton Park to the Olympic stadium.

They will give Zola some funds to play in the transfer market before the end of January.

Barring the move from Upton Park, that should go down well with the majority of fans.

On BBC.co.uk Sullivan says that Zola is safe - which is nice!

would be a disgrace if they get to move into the olympic stadium for free - especially if they're allowed to keep the proceeds from selling upton park.

i'd like to see a football team move in, as otherwise it'd be the biggest white elephant in the history of white elephants

The Olympic stadium will need some substantial work to make it into a decent football venue. For a start, only 25,000 of the seats will be pernament. Clearly West Ham will not want to move into a smaller stadium, therefore they will have to invest a lot of money into making some or all of the 55,000 tempoary seats pernament.

On the flip side, the transport links will be substantially better than those into Upton Park.

Nevertheless, I agree with your point. West Ham shuld not be allowed to move in for free.
