This, now being booked on the 15.28 which gives an hour after full time I have just had a worrying thought. When I booked our tickets it was all about 2nd place, now we are seriously in contention to actually winning the league, will they have the trophy at Boro, if so will they let us be presented with it at an away ground and if they do that train is going to be a bit of rush.

I'm on the same one. TBH if we win the OB might keep us in or try to escort us back which leaves it up in the air. Or left to our own devices a brisk walk or even light jogging might be advised.

Me too, will be the least of my worries as me, the wife and kids slink off back to the station

Would I be welcome in the King and Queen wearing my Boro shirt?

Think I'm going to cabin up and watch it at home on Sky

Of course you'd be welcomed. This isn't the North East you know, we're civilised and open minded to opposition fans. Extra points for wearing a "Middlesbrough - Champions of the Championship 2016" scarf to the pub.

lmao you're crazy!! It's not like wembley up here you know, there won't big a big fan park outside with a big screen. You'll have to either stand with the lady's at one of the burger vans or walk into town and watch it in a crammed pub full of boro fans.

Ladies. Have you got a picture of these ladies before I decide whether to go or not?

I'm on same one. There is one at 15.55 that I can still get in order to get connection at York with 2 minutes to spare. It doesn't leave much time to find beers for the train home.

I somehow missed out on a ticket (completely my own fault!) but have 1 in the boro end. Will use that if I have to, but hoping to pick up a spare on the day. Needs to be an ebloa breakout in brighton that week!!
Same as me

No doubt it will be deemed a dry train if promotion is gained.

Seriously considering heading up anyway. Worth it? Even if I don't get in, should be a great atmosphere before and even better after if we do it.

Megabus ticket to Middlesbrough £8 there and £8 back.
Catch from London Victoria to Boro bus station.
Meaning though possible 2 night stay in Boro. Going Friday morning coming back
Sunday morning.
Mind you a train ticket is £200 at least that's what my mates just paid.
Bloody ridiculous price.

There's a train that leaves Middlesbrough an hour after the match (change at York) - if you do decide to come up I think the celebrations are more likely to be on that train than in Middlesbrough pubs (remember we'd probably have cost them automatic promotion!). So perhaps that would be worth it...?!

Might as well save money and join the train back at York ???

Not me, though. I'll be saving the rail fare and spending it on the lash in Brighton :drink:

That's not a bad idea. He could watch it in a pub in York and just get on that train after!

Think ticketless fans would be far better off watching it in Brighton. If we win the town will go MENTAL, if we blow it a short trip home. I'm just wondering how my nerves are going to last watching the damn game at the Riverside.

In all likelihood, our promotion would come at their expense, so you don't want to be hanging around in 'Boro any longer than you have to. Given I live about 15 miles away, I have NO idea where I'll head out to celebrate IF we do it.

I think we have 90 minutes in York (as it was much cheaper when we booked) so we could get a later train, but our tickets between Boro and York are advance singles as we are not staying in York Friday night we are in Boro, so if we got a grumpy guard we would have to pay extra.
