I don't think the Falmer residents would really like a racecourse nearby. All those horses would be a tad too rural for their snooty suburban sensibilities.

One thing that gets me about this is the supposition that LDC would welcome opera fans but not football supporters. What about people like me who was a Royal Opera House subscriber for many years at the same time as being a season ticket holder at the Albion? I know plenty of other people who like both.

Aren't LDC being rather too simplistic about their categorisations?

Please dont keep going on about this Glydebourne issue. It may very well blow up in our face.

The main thrust of the argument against Falmer is that by developing there you'll allow other developments, so the theory goes, the next developer saying "well you allowed that one so you allow this one". So dragging up Glydebourne is not going to be too helpfull.

Concentrate on the waste of money to LDC tax payers, that the best way to gain support and get them off our backs.
